SUMMARY:MOC Course: Mining Legislation Overview (12 Jan)
DESCRIPTION:Our Legislation Overview course is 3.5 hours of formal training on NSW mining legislation. We will cover key parts of the WHS Act/Regs\, and WHS (Mines & Petroleum Sites) Act/Regs.\nWe focus particularly on parts of the legislation that is commonly confused or misunderstood\, as well as the legislation that underpins our mining operations in NSW. \nWhilst this is specifically for open cut applications\, there is substantial cross over to the underground statutory functions. For Practising Certificate holders\, this counts as formal training towards your Maintenance of Competence. \nWe will cover: \n\nMaintenance of Competence Scheme\nLegislative framework in NSW\nSafety Management System including PHMP & PCP\nDuties and consultation\nWorker representation and powers\nRegulator enforcement measures\nIncidents\nEmergency Management\n\nWe will also summarise the key changes to the WHS M&P Regulation 2022 as it applies to open cut operations. \nThis event will be held online via Microsoft Teams and limit seating for in-person attendance. \n  \nBOOK NOW
