MOC Course: Ventilation/Gas Management Module

Our Ventilation/Gas Management module is 4 hours of formal training on Underground Coal Ventilation control. We will cover:

• Purpose of Ventilation in Coal Mines
• Regulatory Framework (Ventilation Control Plan)
• Ventilation systems
• Ventilation design and minimum standards
• Development and Longwall Ventilation
• Ventilation control devices
• Ventilation modelling
• Gas/Dust/Diesel Management
• Ventilation/Gas monitoring
• Ventilation Changes
• Longwall Sealing
• Emergency Management
• Ventilation responsibilities
• Ventilation Case studies x 3

Attendees will receive a minimum of 4 hours of formal training that will go towards their Maintenance of Competence for their NSW Practicing Certificate for Deputy/Undermanager/MEM or Ventilation Officer (accompanied by a certificate of completion).

This event will be held in person and online (via MS Teams).
